It was an afternoon in early June when David and Blake spoke for the first time. They’d been connected by a mutual friend who thought it advantageous for them to meet. The year was 2020. The world was in the midst of a pandemic made worse by politics and misinformation. Americans grew weary as their streets boiled over with uncertainty and immense racial tension following the death of George Floyd. What the future held we did not know but it was clear that the country, for better or worse, was changing. Their conversation, fueled by this new reality lasted several hours and gave way to a shared desire to create a new kind of space. David Angelo, a visionary creative and founder of David & Goliath, and Blake Winfree, an award winning Executive Creative Director began to lay the foundation for D&G Brooklyn. A cultural and social impact focused creative company that believes that brands and people are in community together. The problems that plague one plague the other, hence, a growing expectation for brands to lend a hand, speak up, speak out, and participate. David and Goliath Brooklyn has been created to help brands navigate this new expectation as they journey to become more impactful corporate citizens.
